Custom Pietenpol engine mount.

Builders,

Below is a picture taken in my shop tonight, on the eve of Easter.  The orange fixture is my high thrust line Pietenpol mount fixture. It has been adapted to produce a special one off Pietenpol mount for Lou Casella in NJ.  The mount in it is mostly complete, it just needs a diagonal tube and a few hours of finish TiG welding before it heads to the Powder Coater on Monday morning.

OK, before anyone writes in, yes I do clean the shop twice a week, I was just not in the mood to do so before taking a picture. Lou wanted a mount that was several inches wider than the standard model. The main reason why it is more work lies in the fact we have CNC machined tubing kits for the standard mounts, but a simple alteration like making it wider means that all of the tubes have to be hand cut, ground and fitted for the mount.  to learn more about the availability of one off mounts from us, please read this story: Custom Corvair Motor Mounts and installation components.

If you are a Pietenpol builder, and would like to understand how much work, thought , calculation and craftsmanship went into our mounts, take the time to read the following two stories:  #4201-C Pietenpol Motor mounts, now on the shelf, ready for shipping. and: Pietenpol Products, Motor mounts, Gear and Instalation Components.

Even the ignorant, i.e., this commenter, can see and infer A-1 QUALITY in this work. Kilometers of Kudos, for sure.
