Builders:
Last night at midnight I waited outside our airpark entrance for a truck trailer, plane and a builder at the end of a full day drive. Out of the dark, it was Justin Peters, he just logged 855 miles driving down from Ohio. He come on a mission of productivity, as he intends to fly a very special bird on Corvair power this season.
.
Beautiful plane!!!
William you are a very difficult fellow to get on the phone but that’s OK because reading your web site give me the encouragement I need everyday. This story is an example of that encouragement. Thanks for all you do!!!
Many people call one of the old numbers that have not been turned on in 4 years like 529-0006 or 451-3676. The only number I use is 904-806-8143. There is one of me, and many builders, I have weeks where I literally don’t have 30 spare minutes for a fun call. If you have something you want to cover, TEXT me the quick subject, your name, and the time window I can call you back. This works best.
totally understand aint bitching
So who else in the homebuilding community does this sort of thing? Bringing fellow homebuilders to his home and shop, helping build motor mounts, and treating them like family rather than just another customer?
Hats off to you, William. You’re a rare, unique, individual. The very FIRST time I spoke with you, you offered all of the above and you didn’t know me from Adam.
One in a million, and thats a shame. Integrity, compassion, intelligence, and honesty. Rare qualities in this day and age.
From another Jersey, ‘old’ Springsteen guy.
Thanks for the nice words Joe. Justin is a good cat, blends right in, doesn’t mind staying in ‘the guest suite’ ( the couch) .
Another great project, and story of a plan resulting in progress. I met Justin at Barnwell, he’s a good dude and his positive attitude and steady effort is a great example for others to follow when building their engine. Not to mention a welcome member of the Buckeye contingent. Keep up the good work guys, and to echo Dan Glaze’s advice to me when I was coming home to Ohio with my completed engine, “drive slow on your way home, it’s still Winter in Ohio.”
